Event management software

Chamber events that sell tables, not just tickets.

One event can sell a member ticket, general admission, a table of eight and a gold sponsorship. Capacity is counted in seats, payments hold them for 30 minutes, and nothing is ever sold twice.

What this event sells

Your gala isn't one ticket at one price.

Most event management software thinks in tickets. Chamber events sell members a discount, guests a seat, companies a table, and a sponsor a table with their name on it. Chamberly lets one event sell all of those, from one page.

01Packages

Capacity counted in seats.

Each package has five settings: price, seats per unit, how many exist, the most one buyer can take, and what it includes. A table of eight takes eight seats from the room, so the venue count is always right.

Leave the list empty and the event just uses a single price. A ribbon cutting doesn't need a menu.

Package Price Seats each Max per order Available
Member ticket Members only $85 1 4 No limit
General admission Guests and non-members $110 1 4 No limit
Reserved table of 8 Bring your team $640 8 2 12
Gold table sponsor Table and recognition $2,500 8 1 4

02Payment holds

Thirty minutes that stop a double-sold table.

The last table at the gala is where event software usually fails: two companies buy it within a minute of each other. In Chamberly, a paid seat is a hold until the money arrives, whichever way it arrives.

  1. 0:00

    A company buys a table of 8

Eight seats come off the count and are marked pending payment.

  2. 0:00 to 30:00

    The seats are held

Nobody else can buy them while the buyer pays by card, or while staff wait on a cheque or transfer.

  3. Paid

    Confirmed

Stripe confirms the card or bank payment, or staff record the cheque. The registration is confirmed.

  4. Not paid

    Released

If no payment arrives in the 30 minutes, the hold lapses and the seats go back on sale. A seat is never sold twice.

03The sign-up page

A page for every event, in your colours.

Every event gets a hosted public page you can link from your website, your newsletter or a social post. It carries your chamber's logo and colour, not ours.

  • Date, time in your time zone, address and a map
  • Every package with its price, members-only ones marked
  • A preview card when the link is shared
  • How many are going, with names as initials unless you choose otherwise

04Members and events

Events that know who your members are.

A standalone ticketing tool can't tell a member from a guest. Chamberly's events live in the same database as your membership, so it can.

Members-only events
Board meetings and orientations only members can register for.
Plans that include events
Premier members get general admission free and still pay for a sponsorship.
Waitlist and cancellation
When the room is full, people join a waitlist. Staff can cancel any registration.
Check-in on the day
A Check in button on each registration. Attendance feeds the board report.
One ledger
Tickets and tables go through the same ledger as dues, with the same fee breakdown.
On the member's record
Events sit on the member's activity timeline, beside calls, meetings and payments.

Good to know

What events don't do yet.

No QR check-in

Check-in is a button on the registration list, not a scanner app.

No recurring events

A monthly mixer is created once a month, not as a series.

No calendar view

Events are listed and searchable, but there's no month grid yet.

What kinds of chamber events can Chamberly run?

Anything with a sign-up: ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours mixers, luncheons, workshops, golf classics, board meetings and the annual gala. Events can be public or members-only, with a single price or several packages.

Can one event sell tickets, tables and sponsorships together?

Yes. Each event can sell several packages, each with its own price, seats per unit, how many exist, a limit per buyer, and what's included. Capacity is counted in seats, so a table of eight uses eight.

Do non-members pay the same as members?

You decide. Mark a package members-only, price a general admission package for guests, or include an event in a membership plan so those members get in at no charge.

How does check-in work?

Each registration on the event's list has a Check in button, and a Cancel button beside it. There's no QR scanning or mobile check-in app today.

Can we take payment by cheque for a table?

Yes. The seats are held as pending payment, and a staff member records the cheque or transfer to confirm them, exactly like a card payment would.

Can we show who's coming on the event page?

The page shows how many people are going. Attendee names appear as initials unless your chamber turns full names on.

Does Chamberly do recurring events or a calendar view?

Not yet. Each event is created on its own, and events are shown as lists rather than a month calendar. If your chamber runs a weekly series, tell us on the demo.
